Yantras. What are they? 

Yantras are tools developed to aid in contemplation, concentration, and meditation. They are the visual representations of mantras, and consist of sacred geometric designs. Each yantra is associated with a planet, element, and/or diety. 

The Durga yantra is the visiual representation of the goddess Durga. She represents protection, strength, motherhood, destruction, and warfare. By meditiating with her unique yantra, it is said that it gives protection and courage to pave a path towards peace, prosperity, and success. 

How to meditiate with the Durga yantra: 

1. Decide where and how you would like to meditate.

2. Put the yantra at eye level in relation to your meditation space.

3. Focus your attention on the black dot in the center of the painting.
